Aggie Days
On Saturday, October 10, 2009, the Willow Springs FFA chapter hosted the 19th Annual Willow Springs Aggie Days. Teams from several local schools competed in cattle working and agriculture.
Twenty-two teams participated in the Cattle Working competition and twelve in Agriculture Olympics. Ag Olympic teams were timed on how long it took a four member group to finish several different farm tasks like fence post driving, hay bale stacking, parallel tractor backing, stacking a rank of wood, and livestock panel of corral construction.
In Cattle Working, Willow took 3rd place. The team consisted of Phil Collins, Austin Wood, and Kayla Roberts. In Agriculture Olympics, Dora scored 97 points, Licking 86, Cabool 85, West Plains 84, and Willow Springs 77. Willow Springs team members included Phil Collins, Austin Wood, Patrick Kelly and Kayla Roberts. Congratulations to the Willow Springs Teams for their great performance!
