Bears Suffer Loss against Panthers
On Friday, October 9th, the Willow Springs Bears played against the Mountain Grove Panthers in a big rivalry. The Bears had many injuries and players out due to sickness, but they still hoped for the best.
The Bears received the first ball but did not go very far. The Panthers were able to move the ball and scored seven running touchdowns and one passing touchdown in the first half. Without an answer, the Bears went into the half with the score 47-0 Panthers.
The Bears, trying to show they are better than they’ve played so far, were able to hold the Panthers to only one touchdown in the second half. Unfortunately, the Bears were not able to get anything going offensively and went scoreless. The final score was Bears-0, Panthers-53.
The Bears had a lot of players out this week including assistant coach Mac. The Bears have a record of 2-5 going into their division games.
