In the past, spirit points have just been empty, unmeaning words to students of Willow Springs High School.  This year, however, under new leadership, spirit points are no longer just words.  They have an all new meaning.

For those who are unsure exactly what spirit points are, Mr. Knapp, the new Student Council advisor, cleared up the confusion.

“Spirit points are an award system for participation in school activities,” Knapp revealed.  The class with the most points will have their graduation year etched on a plate. The plate will be placed on a plaque in the commons area.

Mr. Knapp also shed some light on what students receive for earning the winning amount of spirit points, “Eternal fame, of course!”
