About three years ago, a square slab of concrete was poured onto the corner of the elementary playground. It was just a work-in-progress until about the first week of August when it became an outdoor classroom pavilion. The new classroom was constructed by David and Carl Lewis and will be available to all students and teachers.

The Parent-Teacher Organization funded the pavilion mainly by their cookie dough sales. PTO representative Cassie Rutledge stated , “It was a school, parent, and community effort, and I want to thank our supporters.”
