Students at Willow Springs High School may be wondering as to the time change on early dismissal days. Unlike previous early outs, students are now released at 1:00 versus the usual 11:45.HS Principal Mrs. James revealed that the time change is for teacher collaboration. This allows teachers a chance to focus on goals for their grade levels or classes. This difference in release times also helps teachers use the added time to analyze data from class assessments and plan strategies for addressing low areas. Yet, word in the hall seems to center around the fact that “we might as well finish out the day.”  No students, it is not like it used to be.  But personally, I am willing to take what I can get, even if it is only a couple of hours.
