New Clubs in the High School
Although we have a lot of clubs at WSHS, there are three new clubs this year. One of the clubs is called “Lady Letterman”.
Coach Jackson is the advisor of Lady Letterman and is planning many projects for the club this year. The group will travel to Branson on December 12th. They will have a community service project in November and will Paint the Elementary playground. Lady Letterman club also plans to attend State Cross Country on November 7th as a club.
Another new group is Fellowship for Christian Athletes (FCA). Senior Jessica Girdler is leading this club as part of her senior project. ”I felt like the high school needed something to do with Christianity in their clubs,” stated Jessica. FCA participated in Willow’s Trunk or Treat, and on November 21,st they will retreat to College of The Ozarks.
The final club is the Scion club, and it’s a role playing game club based on mythology. The members of the club meet every day at lunch. Freshman Spencer Collins is in charge of this club. Spencer stated, “ People were talking about a role playing game, and they said that if there would be a club, they would definitely join it. So I decided to start the club.”
