On October 25, 2009, the entire Willow Springs School District had the priviledge to get H1N1 virus immunizations.
“At this time, 99% of confirmed influenza A, is the H1N1 flu,” stated high school nurse Anne Kyle. It has been proven that people under the age of 25 have a higher risk of getting the H1N1 flu virus. The Howell Country Health Dept. volunteered to come and give students with a parental consent a shot or a nose spray. Even though there were only students allowed, no adults, they were able to get over 300 confirmed immunizations and nose sprays.
