A little ice cream shop has opened in the small town of Willow Springs. Smiley’s managers, Tom and Helen Skinner, moved to our small town from the Keystone state.

With Tom developing skin cancer from the intense rays of sun in Florida, this couple decided to move to our quaint, out of the way town. “Tom hates the heat; I hate the cold,” stated Helen.   These facts moved our newest residents to make their home in Missouri.

Originally, Tom and Helen began looking for a church. An area church suited their needs.  “Now, it just feels like home,” revealed Helen. As managers of Smiley’s, they make everything sold in the shop from the football shaped ice cream cakes to regular chocolate ice cream.

Smiley’s would also like to provide a welcoming atmosphere for students after games. Also willing to participate in fund raisers, they are willing to hold a “Scoop Night.” Club members would work at Smiley’s for a few hours, and Smiley’s donate a portion of the night’s income to that particular organization.

So go out and support our newest business. Give them a warm Willow Springs welcome, and enjoy our latest addition to the community.
