With the school year well under way, students may be having difficulties keeping their lockers organized. Here are a few tips to having and maintaining a clean locker.
- Refrain from throwing loose papers in the bottom of your locker. Put all assignments in a binder.
- Throw all trash in the garbage can.
- Take home all items not needed during a school day. Example: unused book bags
- If you bring items for a class party, take them home with you at the completion of the day. This eliminates ant problems.
- Take home and wash all gym clothes after each use. This makes for a cleaner smelling environment.
- Lunch boxes should not be left at school overnight. When you come back the next morning, you might find your locker is now home to a colony of ants.
- Avoid sharing your locker with a friend. This leads to overcrowding and can result in lost assignments.
- Friends should not be asked to retrieve or return items to your locker. An activity such as this leads to misplaced or even lost belongings.
Follow these simple guidelines and your locker will remain visibly more organized, resulting in a less stressful day.
