Bears Fall in First Round of Blue and Gold Tournament
On December 29th, the Bears traveled up to the big JQH Arena on the campus of Missouri State to take on The Ozark Tigers. This would be a challenging game for the Bears.
From the start, the Tigers jumped out to an early lead by applying pressure defense, and with their towering inside presence, the Bears were not able to keep up. By half, the Bears were down 20, and the score was Willow Springs-20, Ozark-40.
The second half was much the same, and the Bears lost. The final score was Willow Springs-49, Ozark 75. The leading scorer for the Bears was Steven Mallow with 16 points. The leading scorer for the Tigers was Tom Ligan with 31 points. Even though the Bears suffered a loss to kick them out of the tournament, they should still hold their heads high for they played a very good team.
