On Tuesday, December 22, the Bears played an away game against the Norwood Pirates. Both teams came out wanting a win, and from the start the game, the scoring was close.

The game went back and forth until the end when the Bears went on a scoring drive and took the lead. Unfortunately, the Pirates went on a scoring drive of their own to take back the lead. With a second left, the Bears chucked up a prayer from half court only to fall short. The Bears lost by a bucket, and the final score was Bears-52, Pirates-54. The leading scorers for the Bears were Clint Harper and Jared Hummel, both with 14 points. The leading scorer for the Pirates was Riley Jenkins with 24 points.

The Bears were battling sickness this week and that had a contribution to the game. Hopefully the Bears can get past this and have more successful games. Luckily, the junior varsity did win their game with a score of 55-45. This moves the junior varsity to a 6-1 record.
