On Friday, December 18th, the Bears played at home against the Alton Comets. The Bears came out to a slow start and were only up by one point at half.

Then, in the second half, the Bears were on fire scoring a total of 50 points together in this half. With some lock down defense, the Alton Comets were not able to keep up with the Bears, and the Bears were soon up by 20.The final score was Bears-86, Comets- 61. The Junior Varsity also played a game for a half and won with a score of 29-23.

The Bears top scorers were Clint Harper with 24, Steven Mallow with 18, and Taylor James with 12. The Bears had a great second half and hope to have more dominating games like this one.

“We came together as a team and really played good in the second half,” stated Clint Harper.
