FCCLA regional officers for 2009 recently stepped down, and members wanting to run for a regional officer spot for 2010 were elected.  This ceremony took place at the First Baptist Church in Willow Springs.  The students running for office had to give a speech and were asked two questions; one a fact question and one situational question. They gave these speeches to a panel of student judges; for many students this was a very nerving experience.  Students who were running for these offices were from Hartville, Licking, Mnt. Grove, West Plains, Thayer, Ava, Couch, and Willow Springs high schools.  From Willow, Stephanie Williams passed down her torch as Region 9 Treasurer and was elected as Historian.  Senior Krista Gale passed down her torch as being a Region 9 Reporter.  I’m sure this will be a exciting and productive year for the new region 9 FCCLA members.
