Alpha Gamma Sigma Scholarship – Males planning to attend the University of Missouri – Columbia may apply for this scholarship. Deadline: June 1, 2010
Boys State of Missouri (June 12 – 19) - Young men between the ages of 15 and 19 who have successfully completed their junior year in a Missouri high school are eligible to apply. Those enrolled are citizens of a mythical state designed to function exactly like the real State of Missouri. The program is designed to give each citizen a practical, working knowledge of his local and state government. Deadline: April 1, 2010
Educational Community Credit Union Scholarship – 2 $750 scholarships will be awarded to Educational Community Credit Union members. Deadline: March 31, 2010
Gamma Phi Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma Grant-In-Aid Award – Gamma Phi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma is offering a $500 award for a female senior who is planning on going into teaching. Deadline: April 1, 2010
Kohl’s Kids Who Care Scholarship Program – This program acknowledges students whose time, efforts and ideas have made a positive impact on their communities.
Only one student can be nominated per school. See Mrs. Petrus before March 10th if you are interested. Deadline: March 10, 2010
MFA Foundation Scholarship ($2,000) – This scholarship is sponsored by the Willow Springs MFA Agri-Services. Application criteria include: the applicant’s interest in furthering his/her education by engaging in studies relating to agriculture or other fields of study that benefit rural life; participation and leadership in school, church, and community activities; reputation for good citizenship and good moral character; financial need, sources of income and willingness to work; and satisfactory academic progress. Deadline: March 15, 2010
Mildred Ann Groves Childress Scholarship – Applicants must have a 3.0 or higher GPA, a 23 or higher composite ACT score, and must be in the top 50% of their class. Preference is given to FFA members. Deadline: February 24, 2010
MSHP Sergeant C. Dewayne Graham Jr. Memorial Scholarship – Applicants must be pursuing a career in criminal justice or law enforcement and must be of high moral character and a positive role model. Preference will be given to students who live in Carter & Reynolds County. Deadline: March 16, 2010
Nathan R. Murphy Memorial Law Enforcement Scholarship – Sponsored by the Physical Therapy Specialists Clinic, this scholarship must be typed or it will not be considered. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA and must be a resident of Douglas, Howell, Oregon, Shannon, Texas or Wright County. Applications will be judged on the essay, financial need, community involvement, academics, and a personal interview. $1,000 Deadline: August 27, 2010
Physical Therapy Specialists Clinic Memorial Scholarships – Nine scholarships are available this year. They are $1,000 each. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and an ACT of 23 or better. Scholarship applicants will be judged on the following criteria: 65% personal and leadership qualities and 35% academic accomplishment.
Applications must be typed, and Mrs. Petrus must verify your testing scores. Deadline: February 26, 2010
University of Missouri – Columbia Summer Music Camps: Mizzou Piano Camp June 6-11 (open to grades 7 – 12); Mizzou Band Camp, June 13 – 18 (grades 6 – 9); Mizzou Band Camp, June 20 – 25 (grades 9-12), Missouri Summer Composition Institute, June 13-19 (grades 9-12); and Mizzou Regional Honor Choir, June 20, 25 (Grades 9-12).
