On Monday, January 11th, the Willow Springs Lady Bears would compete for a win against the Thayer Bobcats.

“We played hard and we gave it our best, but sometimes things just don’t go your way,” said Kamryn Hutsell.

Things went off to a slow start for the Bears. They were down by 7 by the end of the first quarter. Willow tried to make a run to lower the gap but would end up being down by 11. Making the score by half-time 20-31.

The Lady Bears would be out scored by the Bobcats 5 to 17. Unfortunately, that would make the Lady Bears pick up a loss. The final score was 34-60. Allisha Shanks was the leading scorer for the bears with 7 points.

Also, the JV Lady Bears would have a loss. It was a much closer game with the Bears only losing by 2 points. Their final score was 35-3.
