The NCAA Tournament is narrowed down to only 16 teams left of the original 64. So far the tournament has been very exiting and there has been many upsets.

Many teachers and students are filling out their brackets with their predictions on who is going to win. Some teachers are even giving out prizes and having competitions with their students on how accurate their brackets are. Mr. Spence is giving out a soda to his students if their bracket does better than his. The catch is that if the student’s bracket does worse, then they have to give Mr. Spence a soda.

So if you want to join in on the fun or predict who you think will win, you will need to know who is left. The sixteen remaining are Northern Iowa, Michigan State, Tennessee, and Ohio State in the Midwest.  Syracuse, Butler, Xavier, and Kansas State are left in the west. The other side of the bracket includes Kentucky, Cornell, Washington, and West Virginia in the East and Duke, Purdue, Baylor, and Saint Mary in the south.

The next round of games is the regional semifinals games, other wise known as the sweet sixteen games.  These will be held Thursday, March 25th, through Friday, March 26th. So catch the March madness and see if your favorite team makes it to the championship game.
