Farewell Mrs. Jones
As teenagers look back on their high school memories, teachers tend to stay in those thoughts. One in particular will be sophomore English teacher Mrs. Jones. She is a very well-liked teacher at our school and gets along with everyone that she comes in contact with. Unfortunately, news has come that she will not be back next year.
Her husband’s excavating business does most work in the Springfield area, so they are going to move to Highlandville, Missouri. Since she already owns land there, she feels this would also be a good spot to raise her family.
“I definitely wish I could take the school with me! I will miss the staff and students. But I am excited to build a house and be in the Springfield area, because there is so much to do there!” At first she was very sad and disapointed, but now she feels this is an opportunity for her family.
Even though it’s going to be very hard to replace her at school, everything will be changing for her as well; new house, new job, new friends, new life! She will be working at the Rebublic High School with former senior English teacher Ms. Casey Daugherty.
Throughout the past three years, Mrs. Jones has worked at Willow Springs High School. She has taught Language Arts II, novels, poetry, and eighth grade speech. When she begins her new teaching position at Republic High School, she will teach either Language Arts I or II, or a combination of both.
“I will miss everything about Willow: My students, my colleagues, the friendships I’ve make. But I hope everyone will keep in touch with me and I promise to come back and visit!!”
Mrs. Jones is going to be loved and missed by ALL of us! We all hope that she remembers to keep her promise and visit us when she can. Good luck Mrs. Jones with your family, job and new house.
