This is the second story submitted by Mrs. Holt’s class. There are two new teachers at the Middle School this class wanted to introduce:

Sarah Batson

by Sadie Potts and Alexxis Swartz

Ms. Batson is our new eighth grade communication arts teacher at the Willow Springs Middle School. This is her sixth year of teaching. She has taught three years at Gainsville and two years at Bakersfield. This is the biggest school she has every taught at. When she was still in school, she struggled as a student.  That’s what inspired her to be a teacher, so she could help the kids that struggle at school. She has never been at a school with a football team or any sport, so she is very excited that this school has sports. SHE LOVES SPORTS!!!! Her favorite hobby is riding bikes. She likes to ride her bike from West Plains to Willow Springs and back to West Plains. That’s like 30-50 miles of bike riding. That’s just a little about one of our new teachers teaching at the Willow Springs Middle School.

Kendra Chilton

Ms. Chilton

by Freeman Goforth and Abby Redburn

Ms. Chilton is our  new fifth grade math teacher at the middle shcool. Ms. Chilton went to SBU in Mountain View.  She graduated from Licking High School.

So far she is having a fantastic year.  She loves her classroom. Her favorite kids are the ones who follow the bear paws. Her favorite subject is math. Her favorite color is purple. She grades her paper with purple pen. Her favorite book is Click Clack Moo, Cows That  Type. Ms. Chilton’s  favorite numbers are 13 and 7.

She will be getting married on Oct. 30th and will then be Mrs. Goforth. We hope she has a great year.
