Architecture Awareness Day at Drury University , October 8th – Students will visit the Design Studio and participate in a design competition.  They will attend classes and eat lunch on campus with architecture students.  Register at www.drury.edu/archday.  Deadline:  October 1, 2010

Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Scholarship – $3,000,000 is available for 250 high school seniors.  Apply online at www.coca-colascholars.org.  Deadline:  October 31, 2010

Cottey College – “C” for Yourself! Weekend (October 15 – 17) – Students will spend two nights in one of the dorm suites, meet faculty members and students in the area of academic interest.   Students will tour the state-of-the-art facilities and get updated on admission, financial aid, and transferring.  Cost $30.00.  Register at http://www.cottey.edu/home/prostudents/cforyourself.html.

Discover Drury Day – October 16, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. – 3 p.m. There will be a student life presentation, a student affairs staff and Drury student panel, an academic and student life fair, a mock class, admission, scholarship and financial aid sessions, and a campus tour.  Register at www.drury.edu/discoverdrury.

First Freedom Student Competition – This national essay and video contest offers 9th – 12th grade students an opportunity to compete for $2,500 awards as they examine the First Amendment and the history and implementation of religious freedom and freedom of conscience in American democracy and the world today.   More information and details may be found at www.firstfreedom.org.  Deadline to register is Monday, November 15, 2010 and the postmark deadline for mailing the essay or video is Saturday, November 27, 2010

Missouri Cattlemen Foundation Scholarship – Applicants must be a Missouri resident and recommended by a member of the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association.  Applicant must: submit three letters of recommendation; not have previously received a full Missouri’s Cattlemen Foundation scholarship; be a high school senior and have a GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale; demonstrate leadership potential through extracurricular activities and work experiences; and demonstrate financial need.  Preference is given to applicants planning to attend a Missouri college or university with their area of study in the field of agriculture and food production.  Special preference may be given for areas of study related to beef production.  Apply at http://www.mocattlemenfoundation.org/scholarships/htm.  Deadline:  October 1, 2010

Missouri  S and T Chancellor’s Scholarship – Applicants must:   be in the upper 10% of their class or have a GPA of 3.75; must take the ACT test by October 24th and receive a score of 30 or better;  must have strong leadership skills through school and community activities; be a resident of the state of Missouri; and complete a campus interview.  $12,000 renewable  Deadline:  November 1, 2009
