Eighth Grade Volleyball “Take Care of Business” Against Mountain Grove
“We are down to our final three matches. We played Mountain Grove Monday, losing the first game of the 7th grade match 22-25 but winning the second match 25-21 and 25-12,” said Coach Jackson. The 7th grade record is 4-3. Shilo Letterman 13 points and 4 kills; Jaci Story 9 points, 3 kills.
“The 8th grade girls took care of business, beating Mountain Grove in two games 25-23 and 25-17,” said Coach Jackson. The 8th grade record is 5-3. Taylor Cauldwell scored 6 points, 5 digs; Blakelyn Watts scored 6 points, 7 kills.
“Both teams had their spells, but we did a lot of good things tonight. The 7th grade had a season high 12 kills, so it’s nice to see that we are attacking the ball. The 8th grade served well and played pretty good defense. We had a season high 29 digs,” concluded Coach Jackson.
The team’s next match is at Licking on Thursday.
