Last Friday the Willow Springs Bears took on the Houston Tigers at Willow Springs and crushed them with a score of 40-0.

Senior Cole Johnson’s passing was 9-11 for 140 yards.  Senior Blayne Collins had 11 carries for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Senior Clint Harper had three touchdowns. One of them was rushing, and the other two were receiving for 100 plus yards. Junior Chris Miller had one touchdown receiving.

By fourth quarter the score was 40-0, so Coach Matt Perkins sent in the Bears junior varsity team. Coming close to another touchdown for the Willow Springs Bears, Tyler Clinton had a 36 yard run. Coach Perkins said, “JV played well with no penalties, picked up first downs, and didn’t allow Houston to score a touchdown. I was really proud of them!”

The next game for the Bears is in Cuba on Friday, October 22.
