Rogersville won 6-3 against the Lady Bear Tennis Team Thursday. Coach Spence said, “This was a disappointing loss. We felt like we could beat this team. Our shots were a little off, a couple of girls were battling injuries, and Rogersville took advantage of it. The plus side is we have an opportunity to return the favor on Monday in the first round of the team portion of the district tournament.”

A couple of the team members weighed in on what happened at the Rogersville tournament and predicted better results on Monday. Whitney Dampier said, “I just wasn’t hitting correctly, It really gets to me when I play against someone I know I can beat and I just don’t get it right. It was a match I believe we will come back and win on Monday!”

“I strongly believe we can defeat this team on Monday! Not everyone was in the rhythm Thursday,” said Bethany Carter.
