CBCO Blood Drive Coming to Willow Springs High School
by Hannah Mooney
Since 1935, the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks has met the transfusion needs of patients throughout the Ozarks. Every day it takes 275 blood donations to meet the needs of patients in 35 area hospitals supplied by CBCO.
Some might say donating blood is not healthy, but it actually is. When people donate blood it lowers their iron level, which in men is very healthy because high iron levels can eventually lead to a heart attack.
On November 5, 2010, the Student Council of Willow Springs High School will hold the first blood drive of the school year. If a person is sixteen or older, weighs at least 110 pounds and is in good health, they are eligible to donate.
Donating blood only takes about an hour of your day and can save up to three lives. Come join the Student Council on Friday to save some lives!

let’s give blood and save lives. this is a good thing were doing for people.
