Second Grade Fall Celebration a Success
by Jacqueline Younger, Second Grade Teacher
Willow Springs Second Grade Fall Celebration was held on November 18. Twenty-five second graders had the opportunity to participate in Native American activities, including creating a pattern necklace, rattle, fry bread, tepees, and coil pottery. These activities promoted parent involvement and correlated to the curriculum being taught in second grade classrooms over the past several weeks.
Among the events of the evening, three students won prizes for Best Dressed Native American boy and girls (left to right – Kendall Siegrist, Michail Kharitonov, and Erikka Miller). Second grade teachers would like to thank all who participated in making this event a success!
