On Wednesday, November 10, 2010, the Willow Springs High School held a Veteran’s Day assembly to honor all the veterans from the Navy, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Army National Guard. The assembly started with a PowerPoint of over 175 area veterans and the presentation of colors performed by Marshfield High School JROTC Color Guard.

Major Andy Ingalsbe gave a speech about the influence his family had on him to join the Army National Guard. He has spent over 30 years in the National Guard as well as completing his responsibilities as a teacher at West Plains High School. He also encouraged the young people present to consider joining the armed services.

The Willow Springs band and choir also performed the National Anthem, Song of the Unsung Hero, and America the Beautful at this event.
