The WSMS basketball girls played at Mountain Grove Wednesday. The 7th grade girls won easily 27-6, but the 8th grade had to come from behind.

Bethany Sherbo led the Lady Bears with 14 points and 8 steals; Kendra Aldridge added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Shilo Letterman finished with 2 points and 9 rebounds, and Dayla Davis had 4 points, 3 steals and 2 assists to help the Lady Bears take their record to 5-1.

The 8th graders were 9 points behind with about 2:30 to go in the game.”We got a couple of steals, made a three and got a stick back which got us back into the game,” explained Coach Jackson.

Kyla Hutsell led the Lady Bears with 11 points and 5 steals; Blakelynn Watts added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Kelsey Stolba finished with 4 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals. Molly Martin had 6 points and 5 rebounds. Katie Williams finished with 3 steals and 2 rebounds. The 8th grade has a record of 4-2.
