Congratulations to the math team for their 3rd place finish Friday, December 10 at the Great Plains Math League competition held at MSU-West Plains. During the competition, two team events were held. The team members from Willow Springs for both those events were Bethany Carter, Emily Durnell, and Young Lee. In the first event, called the Team Round, they achieved 2nd place and qualified for state. In the second event. the Team Relay, they won 1st place.

In individual events the results were as follows:

Sprint Round

9th grade:  Emily Durnell 1st,  Kostik Dashkevich 2nd,  Haley Porter 6th, Annina Fremgen 12th,  Chanda Schaffer 13th,

10th grade:  Aleks Dudko 3rd (8th overall),  Alex Langrehr 6th,  Mykayla Pringle 11th

11th grade:  Kristina Dudko 8th

12th grade:  Young Lee 7th,  Brandon Coursen 12th

Target Round:

9th grade:  Haley Porter 3rd (22nd overall)

10th grade:  Karley Barry 6th

11th grade:  Kristina Dudko 5th,  Bethany Carter 10th

12th grade:   Young Lee 8th,  Brandon Coursen 11th

The math team’s next competition will be held at MSU-Springfield on January 15.
