The Willow Springs Middle School has completed a fundraiser for the needy kids in our area. Randrea Owens (6th grade, writing) and the student council volunteered to help with the fundraiser.
Mrs. Owens loves to help the needy children. She used to be a social worker so she has a lot of experience. This fundraiser was different from the others says Mrs. Owens. She would volunteer to do it again. The fundraiser started on Monday, November 15th and went through the 23rd. That makes seven school days. Students were asked to bring in extra change they might have laying around. The money was collected by 1st hour teachers.

It will be used to buy toys for children in our area who might not get Christmas gifts this year. The middle school students collected over $300.00. The students were very compassionate, which is one of our PAWS here at Willow.   This shows that the middle school students care about our community.
