American Legion Programs – Missouri Cadet Patrol Academy  (June 5th – June 10th)  Applicants must be 16 -18 years old, must have a “C” average or higher, must furnish own transportation to and from the Academy, must be of good moral character and come well recommended, must be in excellent physical condition and able to participate in a rigorous physical program, and must be endorsed by an American Legion Post.  See Mrs. Petrus for an application.  Deadline:  February 1, 2011

AXA Achievement Community Scholarship – Applicants must demonstrate ambition and drive, determination to set and reach goals, respect for self, family and community, and ability to succeed in college.  Applications are available at www.axa-achievement.comDeadline:  February 15, 2011

Cottey College will host a week-long residential camp for high school girls interested in dance, music (vocal and instrumental), science, or leadership.  Students in grades 9 – 12 may participate.  More information is available at www.cottey.edu. (programs for youth and adults, summer programs)  There is a $20.00 non-refundable application fee.  Limited financial aid is available.  The registration should be completed by April 1, 2011.   Cost of the programs is $400 each.  Deadline:  April 15, 2011

Dr. Darrell “Jack” Holley Scholarship – Only one application from a district can be submitted.  (6) $2,000 scholarships are available.  Applicants must be strong in academics, have definite career plans, be involved in several school activities, have held positions of leadership, and have been involved in community activities.  A faculty committee will select the application that will be submitted.  Deadline:  February 1, 2011

Missouri Bankers Foundation Scholarship – Applicants must be high school seniors who have exhibited academic achievement and/or economic need.  Students should be enrolling full time in a major relating to banking.  The application form must be signed by an officer of a Missouri Bankers Association member bank.  See Mrs. Petrus for an application  Deadline:  March 18, 2011

Physical Therapy Specialists Clinic Memorial Scholarships – Nine scholarships are available this year. They are $1,000 each.  Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and an ACT of 23 or better.  Scholarship applicants will be judged on the following criteria:  65% personal and leadership qualities and 35% academic accomplishment.

Applications must be typed, and Mrs. Petrus must verify your testing scores. Deadline:  February 25, 2011 – due in their office by 5:00 p.m.
