On Tuesday, December 25 the number two seeded Willow Springs Lady Bears traveled to Mansfield to take on the Licking Lady Wildcats in the Mansfield Tournament.

The Lady Wildcats started off with a first quarter lead of 11 to 7, but by the end of the first half the Lady Bears led 24 to 18 over the Lady Wildcats. The Lady Bears kept their lead to win the game 54 to 49.  “The girls did a nice job of finding a way to win against a very scrappy team,” said Coach Gutscher after the win. The Lady Bears edged out the seven seed to advanced to the semi-final game against Mountain Grove on Thursday, December 27.

The top scorer for the Lady Bears was Kyra Bunch with 18 points. Kyndall Bunch followed closely behind with 13 points. Stephanie Williams scored 10 points. Allisha Shanks and Kayla Roberts both scored 4 points each. Alexis Privette had 3 points. Alissa Chapman and Kamryn Hutsell each scored 1 point.
