The Elks Lodge has selected Casey Mariah Hall as February’s Teenager of the Month. She is the daughter of Ted and Cindy Hall.

Casey has been an active participant in many clubs and organizations throughout high school. Casey was the Class of 2011 treasurer her freshman and sophomore years, the junior varsity basketball captain and the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)  treasurer her sophomore year. Also, her junior year she was the volleyball captain, Class of 2011 secretary and the FBLA President.

Currently, Casey is the National Honor Society (NHS) Vice President, the secretary of the senior class, the volleyball captain and the FBLA President.  During her sophomore year of high school, she placed first in Global Business in districts for FBLA and third for state in Global Business. She then was able to travel to Anaheim, California because she qualified for Nationals.

The clubs and activities she is or has been involved in include the following: NHS, President’s Council, Student Council, Class Officers, Pep Club, Pep Band, Drum Line, Spanish Club, Smokebusters, Club Interact, Lady Letterman, Math Team, FBLA, Basketball, and Volleyball. She received Most Valuable Player twice in volleyball. She also has received numerous awards in class work, FBLA and Math Team.

Despite spending most of her time with all these activities, she has found time to help out other organizations. Casey has tried to better the community by participating in events such as M.U.N.C.H’s food drive, recycling and trash pick up with NHS, and helping the elderly make decorations for the holidays with FBLA.

After high school, Casey plans to pursue a college degree in nursing.
