Harry & Lillian Lovan Memorial YMCA Scholarship – This scholarship will be awarded to a WSHS graduate planning to further their education in college or vocational school.  Consideration will be given to applicants on scholastic progress, citizenship, extra-curricular activities, community involvement, and educational goals.  Applications must be returned to the YMCA office.  Deadline:  April 22, 2011

University of Missouri – Columbia Engineering Summer Camp Program – The objective of the program is to introduce outstanding high school students to the numerous engineering opportunities available at Mizzou.  Students will be exposed to fun and exciting engineering and computer technology through hands-on design projects.  There will be two 6-day sessions, July 10-15 and July 17-22.  Students should be presently enrolled as a high school sophomore or junior and be in the upper 25% of their class.  Applicants should have completed one or more laboratory science courses and at least two units of high school mathematics.  Enrollment is limited to 20 students.  More information is available at http://engineering.missouri.edu/k-12/high-school-cummer-camp/.  Cost:  $425.00
