Elementary Completes New Addition
This story was written by eighth grader Brandon Barnes for Mrs. Holt’s writing class.
The new addition to the Elementary School is finally complete. It took a full school year to complete but it was worth the wait. There is way more room, a total of 5 or 6 new classrooms, a new secretary’s office and a new principal’s office. The new class rooms are a good thing because there are no more teachers that have a small workspace. The new principal’s office and secretary’s office is good so it is easier to find them. Another benefit is the added security. The front door is now locked automatically and can only be opened if the secretary opens it.
The new office space allowed us to relocate the nurse’s office to a better location. The nurse’s office is more convenient for the elementary and the middle school. The library has a new entry way and Mrs. Chaney, the elementary librarian says, “It’s a good thing because it’s an extra exit in case of an emergency.” One of the best things about the new addition is that the halls aren’t as cramped anymore. All in all, the new addition is an example of money well spent because it benefited the elementary a lot more than expected.
