Saturday, October 1, was Willow Springs’ annual October Fall Fest day. Although it was warm out, it was a beautiful day filled with fun. The Educator interviewed a few of the students that attended October Fest to hear their thoughts and opinions about it.

Jane Sherbo worked the FCCLA booth before going off with her friends. She also ate a skillet dish that was “very delicious” for lunch. When asked if she had always attended October Fest, she said that this was her first year going since she was a kid.

Another student that was interviewed was JJ Cox. Asked what his favorite booth at the festival was, he said, “The booth where you got to throw water balloons at people.” JJ ate a funnel cake while he was at October Fest and thought is was very good. JJ said he goes to October Fall Fest every year and enjoys it.

Haden Smith had a lot of fun with his friends at the festival and thought his skillet dish for lunch was good.

Alexis Brooks ate fried Oreos while she walked around with her friends but did not go to any booths.

It sounds like October Fest was a lot of fun this year, and our town did a great job with it.
