Despite the 70 degree weather the day before and the sudden drop in temperature to 40 degrees, the Willow Springs FFA Elementary Petting Zoo still went on with great success November 4, 2011 at the Willow Springs Ag Building. The Vet Science class brought in animals and gave elementary students the opportunity to ask questions and see a variety of livestock in person.  A big thanks to the following students for bringing in animals for the petting zoo. They were Kyle Wiegand, Theresa Amos, Trey Oravec, Allen Shanks, Whitney Clinton, and Krysteena Traver.  At the petting zoo, elementary students had the chance to see swine, calves, ferrets, goats, dogs, chickens, and a horse.
