On Saturday, January 14, 2012, citizens from Willow Springs and surrounding towns met together to chase down the Snowmonster. This year’s reward for chasing down the notorious Snowmonster was helping out the Willow Springs Municipal Golf Course pavilion fund. All procedes from the cross country race went toward the fund.

The 7th grade team finished the season with a big win over Mountain Grove, a team that had defeated them two previous times. Their other losses were to a good West Plains team that finished the season with an undefeated record. The 7th grade finished their season with a very impressive 11-5 record.

The official definition of hazing is “bullying a student with or without the consent of the participants, which recklessly, intentionally, or unintentionally endangers the mental, physical, or academic heath or safety of a student.”

Monday night, October 19th, was the last home match for the senior volleyball girls. To make the night even more special, Coach Jackson invited the 7th, 8th, and YMCA volleyball players to watch the game and see what a high school volleyball game is like. Most of the girls showed up in shades, wild-colored socks, unusual hats, and t-shirts supporting their volleyball teams.

This past week, the Willow Springs High School volleyball team beat Fordland at Fordland in two sets. The scores were 25-19, 25-17.

The WSMS Lady Bears Volleyball teams played their final games of the season Thursday, October 13. The Mountain View Lady Eagles, having yet another a good season, proved to be a tough team to beat.
